Dr. Takamiya joined the Tumor Institute Radiation Oncology group in 2004. He practices at the Swedish Cancer Institute at Edmonds.  In addition to expertise in external beam radiation, IMRT, and SBRT,  Dr. Takamiya has also developed the radioligand program at Swedish Cancer Institute Edmonds. This program administers radioisotopes such as  Pluvicto (Lu 177) which is utilized in the treatment of metastatic prostate cancer. 

Dr. Takamiya grew up in Hawaii. In his free time, he and his wife and three children enjoy traveling and often return home to visit family in Honolulu.
